Please note that Ingolstadt University will support you with finding an internship but will not place you in a company. Accordingly, finding an internship is the main task. First of all you should get in touch with the international office of your home university and let them know you are interested in doing an internship in Germany. They will then get in touch with us and inform you about the necessary steps.

35. How long before my internship starts should I arrive in Ingolstadt?
Depending on the schedule for the orientation week students should arrive 7-10 days before their internship starts. Ideally the arrival day should be during the week (not on the weekend). Please also see the Timeframe for internships in Germany.

First of all, you will take part in the Ingolstadt University orientation events. This includes registration, creating student ID, opening a bank account, registering address and applying for residence approval.
