University Council and Senate

University Council

The university council consists of eight external members from science, economy and industry and eight internal members – five professors, a research assistant, an administrative staff member and a student. Members of the university management and women’s representatives participate in the sessions without voting rights. The university council has a decision-making and supervisory role. It decides therefore on the university statutes and elects the members of the university management. The University Council is directly integrated into the university organization.

Senate

The senate consists of elected representatives of professors, employees or students and members of the university management with consultative voting rights. As a central collegiate body, the senate decides in particular on the adopted university legislation, the university development plan, the establishment of new courses of study and the proposals for the appointment of professors.
