Programme Objectives:

The study programme International Retail Management is characterised by its immerged practical phases. Co-operation partners are for instance the Media-Saturn-Holding and the company group Aldi Süd. The retail expertise of six retail professors ensures that specific skills and competencies for the retail business are conveyed. These enable students a job entry into the international retail industry.

Programme Overview:

During the first semesters, the students get to know the basic instruments of economics with a specific attention to retail business characteristics, covering all aspects from marketing to accounting. Starting with the fourth semester, activities and decisions that are specific in retail are deepened. The sixth semester is spent with a retail company by all students (practical semester). With the completion of their Bachelor' thesis, the students are awarded the academic degree Bachelor of Arts. The degree enables graduates for either a qualified job entry in the retail industry or post-graduate master programme.

Admission:

For the study programme International Retail Management a qualification for university entrance is required. Moreover, a preliminary internship of 10 weeks with an international retail company has to be completed by the beginning of the sixth semester. Additionally a TOEFL-test with a minimum score of 71 credits must be passed by the time of enrollment. In addition, an internship contract with an international retail company covering 30 weeks (Compulsory internship Periods in accordance with the Programme and Examination Regulations) is recommended.

Students' Experiences

Marwan (21 Jahre, 2. Semester, Praxispartner Media-Saturn)

Warum studieren Sie Internationales Handelsmanagement?

Alexandra (21 Jahre, 4. Semester, Praxispartner Aldi-Süd)

Warum studieren Sie Internationales Handelsmanagement?
