The Bachelor’s program Electrical Engineering and Information Technology combines the education in engineering technology and computer science. Disciplines like engineering technology, mathematics for engineers, measuring technology, circuit technology and micro-computer technology are complemented by technical information provided by subjects like computer architecture, system programming, computer networks and software engineering. Our students enhance sound knowledge and competencies in engineering. Students learn to find and develop solutions by connecting engineering technology with computer science. In this way, an increasing demand for IT specialists will be covered.
Personality and leadership qualities will be developed through acquisition of technical competencies as well as of social and methodical skills. The international dimension of the program is reflected in qualifying graduates for meeting the permanent challenges and exigencies of global markets.
The regular period of study covers seven semesters divided into two modules. The introductory module includes two theoretical semesters. The advanced module covers four theoretical and one practical semester.
Admission for this program is only possible for the winter semester (October 1). Application period is between May and June 15. Your application will be submitted directly to Ingolstadt University. On our website you can find all information and forms you might need for the application.
Applicants who did not complete a technical practical training (e.g. high-school graduates) or those who changed their study profile after graduating from a technical college / upper vocational school must complete a practical training of six weeks before the beginning of the study period and not later than the beginning of the fourth semester. The training should familiarize the students with the functioning of companies.
Tuition and student service fees must be paid for each semester.
Our graduates are working as system, development, test, application and sales engineers or in the field of software engineering.
Students acquire their first qualification degree (“Bachelor of Engineering”) after seven semesters. Graduates can apply for a Master’s degree at our university and enhance advanced knowledge in the fields of Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. The Master‘s degree is the required qualification for a doctoral program.
Spending a semester at one of our partner universities in Europe, Africa, America, Asia or Australia enables our students to organize their studies in an international way and to qualify for the global market.
