Since 2007 students have to pay tuition fees at all Bavarian universities in conformity with the amendment of the Bavarian Higher Education Act dated 23.05.2006. Details about amount, paying modalities and spending of these funds are stipulated in the Tuition Fee Regulations of Ingolstadt University dated 27.10.2006.
Tuition fees must be paid by all students enrolled at Ingolstadt University. However, you could be exempt from paying tuition fees. See if you fulfill the requirements for exemption from tuition fees under Tuition & Fee Charges.
Tuition fees at Ingolstadt University amount to 450 € per semester. They do not include student service fees.
You can apply for a student loan (so-called “Bavarian student loan”) for financing your studies via KfW-Förderbank.
Tuition fees are used for improving studying conditions at the university (e.g. purchase of new PC-pools, building of smaller study groups, development of student and library service offers). For more information on the use of tuition fees, please see our General Presentation.
