Whom is the Dual Study Programme for?

It’s easy to join in – Students

The admission to a dual study programme requires a general/specialized/technical Higher Education Entrance Qualification (HEEQ). The dual study model has been especially developed for particularly highly motivated and ambitious students, who are fully aware of the high volume of work and time which such studies, also during the semester breaks, require.

It’s easy to join in – Companies

The dual study model is becoming a very important issue due to today’s demographic developments and the predicted lack of highly-skilled workers. It enables companies to recruit experts and executives at an early stage and to bind them to the company long term. With just a few steps, companies can become cooperate partners of Ingolstadt University. Should your company be interested in co-operating with us, all necessary information can be found at www.haw-ingolstadt.de/studium/duales-studium.

What are the Benefits for Students and Companies?

The benefits of dual study are obvious:

It’s worth to join in – Students

Students benefit from a practice-oriented academic instruction and they are financially rewarded for the period of their vocational training / immerged internship in the companies. The joint model enables them to acquire an additional vocational certificate which shortens the overall period of training. Both models offer the prospect of excellent job and career opportunities after completing the degree. Furthermore, students become part of the company network during their studies, which significantly supports their future career entry.

It’s worth to join in – Companies

In both models companies recruit qualified, academically educated employees, who already have an intensive practical experience and are committed to the company. Due to the company-specific shares alongside their studies, graduates skip the familiarization phase, which is very costly in terms of time and money. During their training, the performance oriented and highly motivated dual students add significant value to the company. It is very likely that the qualified young talents remain within the firm, if needed, which is part of a medium-term and long-term oriented strategy for the development of human resources.
The success of the dual study at Ingolstadt University speaks for itself. Dual students and HR representatives of our cooperate partners are very enthusiastic about this model.
