Exemption of Liability

With its verdict of 12 May 1998, the Regional Court of Hamburg has ruled that by inserting a reference, the contents of referenced pages can also be deemed to be the responsibility of the referencing party. According to the Regional Court, this can only be prevented by explicit dissociation thereof. We endeavour to be careful in the selection of references, however, we do not have any influence on the contents of linked external pages. The University of Applied Sciences Ingolstadt declares that it explicitly dissociates itself from the content of all linked external pages. Besides links to external websites on our homepage, the University of Applied Sciences Ingolstadt also dissociates itself from all contents placed on local servers (web hosting). This specifically includes private homepages of students and employees of the University of Applied Sciences Ingolstadt. This statement applies to all references on our pages and to the contents of all referenced pages. The reference to other www pages is a service to our Internet visitors and can be revoked at any time. This does not constitute legal entitlement to maintenance.

Logging of Data

Every access to the web server of the University of Applied Sciences Ingolstadt results in the relevant user data to be logged. Depending on the access protocol, the data package contains the following information:

  • IP address of the accessed computer
  • Date and time of access
  • the requested access method/function of the accessed computer
  • the conveyed input values (file name, …) of the accessed computer the conveyed input values (file name, …) of the accessed computer
  • access status of the web server (file transferred, file not found, command not executable, etc.)
  • Name of the requested file

The saved user data will only be used for purposes of identification of and tracking of illegal access attempts and access attempts to the web server. Logged data is saved for a period of three months, after which it is deleted. Evaluation of the data is done by employees of the Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences.
