The distributed world model for automotive software (DWM) provides a distributed platform for automotive applications. It collects information from all available sensors in order to provide detailed insights into the vehicle environment. This knowledge basis supports the analysis of current driving conditions. The sensor information is distributed within automotive systems in order to reduce the data volume to be transmitted. Furthermore, the novel concept of proactive sensor technology enables the identification of risk sources in the vehicle environment.
