The Institute for Applied Research (IAF) builds on a centuries-old tradition at Ingolstadt as a centre of academic research. We devote particular attention to the training and education of junior researchers: research work that systematically seeks to find solutions to specific problems is beneficial to the development and welfare of the region. As a public research body, we contribute through academic research to finding solutions to pressing global social problems and challenges.
